KEEP CALM it's nearly Christmas!

December is by far my favorite month. In part, because it’s my birthday month. #Sagittarius4Life But mostly because of the holidays. The holidays just feel different than any other time of year and I’m not really completely sure why. You would think that the combination of cold weather, holiday stress, and money being spent wasted would bring the Scrooge out of more people, but for whatever reason, it seems to have the opposite effect. No matter who you are or what you believe, most people will agree that something about the holidays is magical.

The holidays also really have a way of wearing out the interior designers of the world. If you think you’re the only person who’s asked you designer friends for advice on holiday decorating, you’re wrong. And since Laura is up to her ears in holiday cheer right now, I decided to spend a little time on Pinterest finding things that I thought might help you really get your home into the holiday spirit, tomorrow. (If you're not following us on Pinterest already, you should be! We made our "Dreaming of a Green Christmas" board public so you can add stuff, too!)
Just by dipping pine cones and leaves in different color paints, you can do so many beautiful things! And it's easier than pie :)

Christmas trees are my favorite! They're so different and personal and I feel like you could probably find out a lot about a person just by looking at their tree. My tree is pretty quirky. You can tell that Laura was not the mastermind behind it. I suckered two of my guy friends into driving down to Hampton, Georgia (insert thick Southern accent) to cut one down! After fighting with the lights and hanging up the ornaments, I think I have a pretty solid tree. I mean, it's not going to end up on the cover of Elle Decor's Christmas issue, but it's very me. The only thing is, I don't have anything on top of it yet. There are so many options. Look at all these cool creative trees. The author of the fun blog, Bored Panda, also posted about tons of trees!  Check it out!

Here's my tree!!!

I also found some cute stuff that you can do to spice up the rest of the home. One day, I plan on having a mother-in-law and when she comes over, I'll want the house to look amazing. So, if you're about to have the in laws or other guests over for the holidays, here's some stuff you can do!

Don't forget to check out our Pinterest board for even more ideas and be sure to add your own!!!

Happy Holidays!!!
